L'ORÉAL INFALLIBLE STAY FRESH 24H FOUNDATION REVIEW

A few weeks ago I left my job and my lovely coworkers gave me a gift card for a Dutch drugstore. At first I had this idea to do a massive drugstore haul post, but as it turned out I'm getting a little bit too picky for drugstore products! Not really though but I just couldn't find a ton of products that seemed appealing to me. I picked up a few products though and one was this L'Oréal Infallible Stay Fresh 24H foundation in 145 Rose Beige.

I heard good things about the L'Oréal True Match foundations but because I like a higher coverage I picked up this one. The packaging looks fine to me, it's square so it doesn't take op any more space tan needed. I like the fact that it has a pump too, it's definitely the most easy to use and the most hygienic. I didn't think about this when I bought this and this is one of those things you (or at least I) just don't notice but it will annoy you to bits when you use it. The pump is exactly the size of the bottle, which means that when you pump it, the foundation will get all over the bottle instead of on your hand or face. You can see in the picture that it has already gotten a bit gross and I even cleaned this before I took the shot.

Am I the only one who thinks it's super gross when there's dried up product on the packaging?
Now let's talk about the formula. I swatched on my hand in store because drugstores lack good lightning and mirrors to actually swatch products on your face. The colour seemed to be right so I didn't think about it for too long and I put it in my basket. The formula is a little bit runny but nothing to worry about. However, the next day I used this in my regular foundation routine, which is moisturizer + primer + foundation. When I finished the foundation I was terrified. There were stains everywhere and every time I tried to cover them up it didn't work out. The foundation would just slip off all together or it would create a stain elsewhere. I tried blending it in better, I tried using less, I tried applying this without a primer and it would still stain every time. I have never, ever experienced any trouble like this with any foundations.

And the stain issue is not the only issue I have with this.

Once the foundation dries it looks around three shades darker than it did at first. I think this might have something to do with oxidizing but I'm not that good at science so I'm not sure about this.

I've tried every method of applying this foundation and it just doesn't work for me. I'm just very disappointed.

Rare and unseen footage of me without a fringe. I didn't use any primer in this picture because I knew it'd be a disaster and I'm not wasting any product. Can you see the disappointment in my eyes?

Have you ever had this issue with any foundations?
