My lipstick stash: pinks & purples

This is the second part of me showing you guys my lipstick collection, again, I don't own any nudes so the non-reds are pink and purple colours.

1. Dior Addict lipstick 578 Diorkiss

I bought this one in New York back in 2011. I've used it until the very end, sometimes I still scrape a little bit out of the tube because it's such an amazing lipstick. The barely-there pink colour looks good with anything and the formula is amazing. This was one of the first lipstick/lipgloss hybrid products to come out if I remember it correctly. The formula on this is amazing, it feels so good on your lips. It's non sticky and it feels like butter. It's so moisturizing as well. I'm sad because I bought it for maybe $20 and here it's €35 and I can't justify spending 35 Euros on a lipstick (especially when I already have 21 others).

 2. Gosh Velvet Touch 138 Peony

I forgot about this lipstick as well, I recently found it in one of my drawers. It's a pretty nice colour and the formula is alright as well.

3. MAC Lickable (cremesheen)

I bought this as a replacement for Diorkiss. It's definitely nowhere near a dupe but I just wanted a "friendly looking non-agressive pink" and this works very well. I like to just dab this one with my fingertip which gives a nice and subtle stain effect.

4. Flormar Revolution Perfect Lipstick in R04

I bought this one because it reminded me of MAC's Saint Germain. Unfortunatly, this lipstick doesn't apply as nicely as a MAC lipstick. You have to be careful not to get too much product on your lips because that will make the lipstick move around (like it did in the swatch). However, I paid about €7 for this one and it's not impossible to work with so I'm not too bothered.

5. Flormar Longwearing Lipstick in L27

This lipstick caught my eye in Turkey. I didn't own any lipsticks with that much shimmer so I really wanted to have it. It was around €5 and this one stays on forever. It looks really good with a lip gloss on top as well.

6. MAC Candy Yum-Yum (matte)

Candy Yum-Yum is my baby. This is probably my favourite lipstick ever. I saw it online and I had to have it. When I first tried it I knew it was going to be a very good relationship. This was actually one of the first pink lipsticks I owned, I guess I thought it'd be a good idea to start with the pinkest colour in the world, haha!

7. MAC Rebel (satin)

This is my most recent purchase. I wrote a review about it as well. I like this one because it's such a versatile colour. Right now, I'm really into doing an ombré with Rebel on the outer corners and Candy Yum-Yum on the inner corners, like in my Eiffel Selfie.

8. Sleek Pout Paint in Mauve Over

I wanted this product for two reasons; 1) I thought it would be like the OCC lip tars. 2) I was really getting into purple. Is it like the OCC lip tars? I have no idea because apparently those are impossible to get here! I was eyeballing Hoochie at the moment I bought this because I was really getting into purples. Right now I really want the OCC lip tars in Black Metal Dahlia and the entire spring collection. Back to the subject, I was a little bit disappointed because this product is way more pink than purple but is has reallly grown on me since. It's a nice blue toned pink. The lasting power is pretty good on this. One con is that you really shouldn't use too much product because not only it will bleed out but it will also stick your lips together (like in the swatch - gross!).

9. Flormar Deluxe Shine Gloss in D42

When I purchased this I was still in my purple phase. This is also a gloss/lipstick hyrbrid. It's no way near as good as the Dior one. This lipstick is quite dry and not glossy at all if I'm being honest. You can't feel the glitter so that's good I guess. I like to wear this one on top of other lipsticks (it looks amazing on top of ESP).

10. Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate lipstick in 04
You can probably guess that this lipstick origins from my purple phase as well. Just to be clear: I got this before Lorde's Royals came out. I used to mix this one with MAC's Dubonnet a lot, it gives a very nice dark red colour. I already wrote about the Rimmel lipsticks in the previous post, I'm very pleased with these formula's.

11. Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in 15

This one didn't come from my purple phase! I have no idea why I even own this lipstick. I bought it when I was 16 or something and I have never, ever worn it. It doesn't suit me at all, it makes my lips look grey, the glitter is very chunky and it doesn't apply evenly. I should throw this out.

12. Illamasqua Lipstick in ESP

Purple phase! I love this lipstick. It's so purple, I haven't found anything like it. The formula is a little bit hard to work with at first but you have to get used to it. I still really like this lipstick because it's such a special colour. This looks really good with copper colours on the eyes as well. I don't know if this is going to be a colour I'll be wearing in spring, but I've really enjoyed this in winter. People are really shocked by a colour like this one though but I think that's fun.

I really enjoyed showing you all my lipsticks, it's really like introducing you my children. Every lipstick has a different story behind it. I don't know if that's normal but I exactly remember where and when I bought the lipsticks (at least most of them). I still think I don't even own that many lipsticks if I'm being honest, which is good because now I won't have to feel bad about buying new ones!
