FOTD Roundup

Yesterday I bought an iPhone and I found lots of old selfies on my old phone and as it turns out, I've done a lot of makeup the last few weeks. I wanted to share some of my favourites and I apologise beforehand; these selfies were all taken with my phone which doesn't have a very good camera (that's why I got the iPhone. I am that vain). Warning: all pictures are #NoFilter and may contain extreme pouting.

These pictures were taken with my iPhone. These are both from today and the only difference between the two pictures is the lipstick. I still wanted to add both pictures because WHAT A DIFFERENCE can a lipstick make! In the left one I look very tan and glowy with the nude lipstick (Rimmel's Nude Delight ps: Alexa Chung owns that one) and in the right one I look more pale -obviously because of the lightning too- and my blush shows up more, whereas in the left one it's completely disappeared. I like both lipsticks though, I'm a big fan of unusual colours so I don't mind that purple (Illamasqua's Esp) isn't the most conventionally attractive or flattering colour. It's a bold statement.
I started practicing the ombré eyebrows too as you can see.

Left: I went for a glossy, shimmery eye and lots of contouring. The lips are L'Oréal Liquid Lipstick in Molto Mauve. I think this look is great for summer evenings. I wore this on a very sunny day too.
Right: Here I'm wearing lime green eyeshadow and OCC lip tar in Black Metal Dahlia on my lips. Lime green and dark red aren't two colours that I'd pair together easily but I think it worked.

Both of these looks are my interpretation of makeup tutorials, the left one is Khloé Kardashian and the right one is from Beyoncé (that tutorial is nowhere to be found but it's from when Teen Vogue did a series with Sir John on how to achieve some of her looks from the visual album). It's a black smokey eye with gold in the middle.

Left: This look is quite robotic. I'm not that into looking natural and conventionally pretty so sometimes I schmear all the stuff all over my face. If you're interested in this philosophy I'd suggest you tag out this tag.
Right: This is one of my basic looks; light brown smokey eye and orange lips, this one is Rimmel's In Love With Ginger, such a nice shade.
PS: I'm wearing the same sweater but that's completely coincidental!

Left: This is when I was supposed to have a job interview but it got postponed. I wore MAC's Lady Danger (which is my favourite lipstick ever) and I did a very basic cat eye with a defined crease and highlighted inner corners. I did a very light contour and kept it all very basic.
Right: This is from last weekend when I was binge-watching the new season of Orange Is The New Black and it was 30 degrees out so I moved my laptop outside and got a tan as I was watching. I'm wearing MAC's Candy Yum-Yum (my other favourite lipstick ever) and I wore lots of bronzer and a basic cat eye.

This was a round-up of what I've been up to, it's definitely weird posting your face ten times in a row but that's what this blog is for I guess. Now tell me, what have you been up to? I'm trying to get back in the game here, what did I miss? How are you doing?
Bonus question: what are the iPhone apps that I NEED?
