Pink & Smokey Giftorial

During my absence I also learnt how to make gifs, which I thought would be quite useful for makeup tutorials. This tutorial is fully in .GIF form so if you're sensitive to moving images be careful when you click read more.

For this look I (mainly) opted for my beloved Vice 3 palette by Urban Decay so unless stated otherwise all shadows are from that palette.

The first step is always to apply a good primer, I feel like Urban Decay's Primer Potion has never let me down so I haven't even touched anything else for over a year.

Next step is to highlight the brow bone with Truth. If you're eyes are hooded you want to make sure that you don't go too far down with your brow bone highlight. That's why I often highlight that first.

Use Undone to add some light definition to the crease. This doesn't have to be too neat but it's good to have a transition colour (it makes blending easier).

Apply Last Sin to the inner half of your mobile lid.

For the outer part of the mobile lid I used Snakebite from my Naked 2 palette. For some reason I don't really like the dark brown from the Vice 3 palette so I often tend to reach for this one, it blends easier because it's more shimmery and buttery smooth. Make sure to blend both lid colours together.

For the crease take Alchemy, if your eyes are hooded like mine you probably don't want to bring it all the way in (because you won't see it anyway and it makes your eyes appear smaller).

Take a fluffy blending brush and blend Alchemy into Undone. You might want to reapply some of the eyeshadows and just blend everything until you're happy with both the intensity and the.. blendicity?

Now take Alchemy again and apply it to the lower lashline (again, I only take it like halfway in to make my eyes appear bigger). Blend it out and connect it to the pink on the top half of your eye. Make sure you don't blend too much downwards though (just clean that up if you do).

Apply some of Brokedown to the very outer corner for a more intense look and blend well of course.

For the inner corner I used Cottage Cheese by NYX. I applied Bobby Dazzle on top but that part wouldn't gif for some reason.

To sparkle things up I also took this Essence Crystal liner in Rose Rush.

Next curl your lashes if your lashes are sad and sparse like mine.

And finish it with some coats of mascara. The mascara can be quite dark and bold if you're using pink of red eyeshadow because that way you prevent looking like you've just cried.

And you're done! Of course I end up with awkward mascara blobs in this gif but let's just ignore those.

Here's also some good ol' .JPEG's of this look, if your eyes are completely strained from all the gifs.
